AMSA2013 - Shaping the Future - will celebrate the Golden Jubilee of the Australian Marine Sciences Association (AMSA), Australia’s peak marine science professional association with over 800 members. AMSA2013 will be held at Jupiters Gold Coast from 7-11 July 2013. The Golden Jubilee of AMSA represents a significant milestone for the Australian marine science community and the conference will be a fantastic celebration of the community’s achievements over the past 50 years.
AMSA is a multi-disciplinary society and topics covered at the conferences embrace all aspects of marine science, including ecology, oceanography, biogeochemistry, molecular biology, policy, management, science communication – and more. The conference aims to assess the current state of marine science and explore how well equipped we are with knowledge and human and technical, capabilities and to address the future needs of marine science in Australia.
AMSA2013 will attract approx. 400 international and national delegates including scientists from universities and government organisations, marine educators, environmental consultants, managers and policy-makers, representing universities, government research organisations, natural resource management organisations and environmental consulting companies.
