Braille Input Editor is a simple text editor but with a very specific feature: instead of using the classic iOS virtual keyboard, it uses a keyboard representing a 8-dots Braille cell. In order to insert text in the edit field, you just have to press the dots combination corresponding the character you want to input and then tap the OK button to confirm it (Input is in Computer Braille).
Braille Input Editor has been designed to fully support Voice Over, to distinguish whether you have pressed the keyboard buttons or not, to read the text, for saving and opening files. From within the iOS Settings is also possible to set the USA Braille Table (the default value is based on the European Table) and the amount of time you must press the dots combination before having the OK automatically executed (the manual OK remains valid anyway).
The saved files will be .TXT, such as the files you want to open. Braille Input Editor supports iTunes File Sharing, so the text files can be exported to computers and viceversa. The BIE help is available using dots 1, 2, 5, plus Shift (h, Shift).
