Application Description
Concentric is a word puzzle game where the goal is to unscramble five-letter words inscribed on nested stone rings.
Concentric features game modes and difficulty settings that scale from the casual and easy to the hardcore:
+ 10 levels of difficulty that range from 3 to 12 scrambled words per game.
+ Two word dictionaries: Easy (around a thousand common words) and Hard (several thousand common, uncommon, and rare words).
+ Three game modes:
* Casual mode lets you select your own difficulty, allows you to start a new game at any time, and tracks your record times.
* Endurance mode starts off with three words and adds a new word with each solved puzzle. Times are tracked per difficulty level like Casual mode.
* Timed Endurance mode is like Endurance mode, except the clock starts with three minutes and runs backward. Solve puzzles to add time to the clock (and words to the rings). Beat your best scores by solving all 10 levels with time to spare.
Concentric features:
+ Relaxing Zen background music, or listen to your own music. Concentric considerately mutes itself if you have other audio playing.
+ Separate mute controls for Music and Sound Effects, and volume sliders for each.
+ Local high scores tracked by difficulty, dictionary, and game mode. Beat your own scores or pass-and-play with a friend.
