When snoopy journalist Patricia Hunter notices that the recent mysterious deaths of brides and disappearances of their corpses all have one thing in common she begins to investigate. Her work leads her to a Dr Lorenz and she decides to pay him a visit. Hitchhiking a lift to Dr. Lorenz isolated house she realises he in indeed a mad scientist who sleeps with his wife in coffins. After a storm breaks out she is forced to spend the night at his home ... where she finds a basement laboratory.
