Commentary plays AUTOMATICALLY as you drive. GyPSy Guide will provide commentary so you won't miss any of the fantastic scenic viewpoints or fascinating stories on this diverse drive through the dinosaur heartland of Alberta.
** Once downloaded, this tour REQUIRES NO DATA to operate and activate, so you will not incur roaming or data charges. Just download the app on Wi-Fi from your network at home or use the free Wi-Fi at the airport, hotel or any other location.
Professional tour guides have filled the guide with interesting and entertaining stories, loads of tips and advice on what to do and will point out places of interest as you approach them. There are 160+ commentary points throughout the region. Its just like driving around with a local expert.
To get to Drumheller, we use highway 72/9 heading eastbound from Highway 2 which connects Calgary and Edmonton. For the 1 hour long drive to Drumheller, we will take you on an easy journey through time from when the world began and dinosaurs roamed this area. Once in Drumheller, there are 2 loop routes to drive and discover the diversity of the region; the Dinosaur Trail, which includes the world-famous Royal Tyrrell Museum, and the Hoodoo Trail, complete with a ghost town, swinging suspension bridge and of course hoodoos.
When its time to leave Drumheller we have a choice of 2 commentary routes; back to Highway 2 through Beiseker, or meander back towards Calgary Airport through the pretty town of Rosebud.
