Detailed App Info:
Application Description
Have a new idea? Own a business? Are you creative and original?
The Intellectual Property App is a guide to U.S. patent, trademark, and copyright law.
The Patent Guide is broken down into categories for the search, application, drawings, claims, fees, data sheet, designs, plants, infringement, and more. Claims from famous inventions are included: computer mouse, television, light bulb, 1-Click online shopping, music playlists, telephone, and airplane.
Trademark Guide: Search/classification, application, drawing, specimens, renewal, fees, infringement, and more.
Copyright Guide: Overview, different types of registration, what cannot be copyrighted, application guidelines, submission, fair use, fees, infringement, and more.
Provisions from the U.S. statutes and Code of Federal Regulations are used to highlight these areas.
The C.F.R. are detailed rules for the statutes. For example, the U.S.C. merely states that patent drawings should be provided when necessary. The CFR describes the content of the drawings, such as how to submit partial views and margin size.
The developer, Michael Elliot Byczek, is licensed to practice law in Illinois and an Apple certified system administrator. He is in the process of registration with the USPTO.
The U.S.C., CFR, and fees are current as of June 15, 2010 (except for P.L. 111-148 and 111-175).
