Application Description
Join the magical journey of a funky yet lonely flying saucer, who will pass through the oddity of a frightening musical deep space! Only through your fluid and gentle PIBEing (Play It By Ear) control, it then boldly navigates itself through space obstacles and sweet galactic musical notes. You may encounter interstellar overdrive of shooting drumming sequences; take it slow. At another occasion, a slow and melancholy space melody may swing gently and take away your soul! So, let’s PIBE!
Let’s PIBE! is a music game. PIBE stands for Play It By Ear. “Play by listening” is the core of this game, so here we want to offer an experience like playing music instrument but much simpler. We want our players to be sensitive to changes in music through their ears and the other senses. In our game, we pick rhythm and pitch changes to be our main foci.
How to play:
Let’s PIBE! consists of two gaming modes: gesture-based PIBE mode and tap mode. In the tap mode, there are three keys: left, middle, and right. When the pitch goes higher, tap the right key; when the pitch goes lower, hit the left key; when the pitch stays the same, hit the middle key. In the gesture-based mode, we offer Simple PIBE mode in this release; just hold your phone facing inwards and hit an air drum downwards.
The second way of playing is the Visual PIBE mode, a tap emulation of PIBE. Finally, we also offer another tapping method called Gala. It is similar to the old time game Galaga. No musical relation here at all.
