The NHLA Annual Convention & Exhibit Showcase is the "global gathering of the hardwood industry". The National Hardwood Lumber Association is the oldest and largest hardwood trade association in North America, and is the creator, keeper and teacher of the North American hardwood lumber grading Rules.

The Annual Convention brings together timber owners, lumber traders, saw mill operators/owners, domestic and international buyers as well as hardwood lumber industry service suppliers.
