Application Description
"Oyako Day" is a social action started by photographer Bruce Osborn.
Since the 2nd Sunday of May is "Mother's Day" and the 3rd Sunday of June is "Father's Day", Osborn is suggesting the 4th Sunday of July to be "Oyako Day", a day where both parents and children re-examine and reaffirm their bedrock relation that their lives are tied to.
Furthermore, since there is no exact terminology in English that describes "parent and child", this project also aims for the word "Oyako" to attain worldwide recognition.
We hope that this "Oyako Day", almost at its 8th anniversary, will gain further recognition through this iPhone app.
