December 13: The birthday of Werner von Siemens - the SHI celebrates with an app. To mark the 195th birthday of Werner von Siemens, the Siemens Historical Institute (SHI) is offering his autobiography in German and English as an iPad app. The eight unusually presented stories bring to life the adventures of Werner von Siemens in Egypt or on the high seas. The individual stories focus on the inventions and entrepreneurial achievements as well as the private life of the electricity pioneer.
