A lot has happened since our founding in the spring of 2003 in Stockholm, Sweden. When design and prints influenced by reggae music emerged and progressed from that little music pumping clothing store in central Stockholm. It drew interest from artists, DJ:s, boardriders and various creative spirits all sharing a positive, open and progressive vibe. By and by that vibe spread, and with it our brand. Todays we are well established in Sweden and growing steady internationally.

At the time, the brand name Skank, was never questioned by anyone as most understood its roots in the Jamaican music and its meaning: dancing. However, during the ten years that has passed and with new international markets getting to know the brand, the interpretation and meaning of the name is starting to get lost. So we are presenting an new adaptation of our name. Whether you’ve known our brand for ages or our paths has just recently crossed, feel free to inter- pret and say whatever you like.
