Application Description
Tang Poetry Maker is an intersection of culture, art and technology. It is used to generate poems that follow Tang Poetry style/pattern, which brings you back to thousands of years ago and makes you be overwhelmed by ancient wisdom.
It is stated that:
"Ancient Chinese classic poems are exquisite works of art. As far as 2,000 years ago, Chinese poets composed the beautiful work Book of Poetry and Elegies of the South. Later they created more splendid Tang poetry and Song lyrics. Such classic works as Thus Spoke the Master and Laws Divine and Human were extremely significant in building and shaping the culture of the Chinese nation. These works are both a cultural bond linking the thoughts and affections of Chinese people and an important bridge for Chinese culture and the world."
Chinese poems were divided into six different styles: old style poems (gushi, 古诗), regular poems (lvshi, 律诗) and short poems (jueju, 绝句), both with five and seven syllable verses. In ancient China, poets have a special name called 骚客, which is pronounced similar to 'Sucker'.
Tang Poetry Maker has the following features:
- Compose with different intelligence level randomly, you get points for the poems you composed
- Time interval between two poems. Why do I need to wait? As poems have spirits and they can only be composed or picked up by chance. Thus I don't want to make it a machine generated cold-hearted work.
- Share. Share your poems as text or picture, mark your name in the history of poetry.
- Scoreboard. See what others got.
