The Friendship Journey is a story written by 10-year-old writer Qianfan Song. The story is about a girl called Mary Kate looking for her kidnapped friend, Shannon. With the help of a fairy, Charlotte, and hard working, Mary finally rescued Shannon, and also made friend with the kidnapper, dragon Theodore.

The story was mainly written for children age between 5 years to 14 years old. But it could be enjoyed by adults as well.

The writer of the story, Qianfan Song, moved to the U.S. from China 3 years ago. Before she moved to the U.S., she didn't speak a single word of English. Two years later, she was not only fluent with English, but also was placed into Advanced English Reading class of her school and was a key member of the champion team for Battle of the Books of her school district.
