The School App is a modern twist on the traditional school homework diary. We aim to utilise technology that students are already bringing into schools - their mobile phones!

The School App contains functionality to allow students to:

•Add and track their homework and assignments
•Receive automatic reminders when assignments are due.
•View the school calendar
•View important school documents
•Read school news items
•Browse web links selected by the school
•Receive messages from the school.

The School App contains functionality to allow teachers to:
•Customise the app to reflect the schools branding. Add the school name, logo, colour scheme and moto
•Send students/parents messages directly to their mobile phones.
•Send messages to individual students/parents or in groups set up by the school
•Upload Word or PDF documents that can be viewed by students and parents
•Add diary dates to the school calendar which can be viewed by students and parents
•Add news items to let students and parents know what’s going on!
•Monitor each individual students progress at completing homework and assignments

•View the latest news items

•View their child’s homework list to monitor progress and leave comments which can be seen by the form teacher

The School App aims to save schools money by being cheaper than the traditional homework diaries. To improve communication by sending messages directly to students mobile phones. We also aim to improve student’s use of technology, to enhance the schools image and reputation as well as helping the environment.
