The Apple iPad has brought in a revolution in the way people think about computing. Never before have so many had the opportunity to experience computing as an integral part of their lifestyle.

But computers still scare some

However, many potential computer users are still waiting in the wings for their chance to access the content richness of the internet and other life tasks. Why are they waiting? For them, even the simplest activities on a computer may appear scary.

Intuitive use means there are no scary bits

While the iPad makes things easy on the hardware side, there is still room to make some basic activities simple enough for any user. And that is the mission of The Simple Suite software. Our objective is to produce apps that are completely intuitive so that even the elderly have a chance to make the iPad their go-to device for many of their daily needs.

The Simple Suite, tools for any level of user sophistication

Our suite comprises a Notebook, a Diary, a Calculator and a NightLight. These are all designed and built with the unsophisticated user in mind. For example, the Calculator has no symbols of any kind - just words such as "Multiply By" on the touch pads. No intimidation - no ambiguity. Rather than adding confusing functionality in the form of selections, features, options, colours etc., we have cut the apps to the bare bones. Real productivity could not be simpler.

This app is a very simple night light that has three brightness settings. The light is provided in three intensities by the image on the iPad screen.
