205 National Flags, Maps, and Statistics
Detailed App Info:
Application Description
This app integrates two data sources in a seamless way:
1) All the 205 National Olympic Committees - each country or territory with its name and flag which rises in the medal ceremony;
2) The CIA world factbook which offers lots of info about each country/territory.
Compared with a few other world factbook apps, our app has the following unique features:
1) It offers a Fact Query feature that can easily answer questions such as:
* Which country has the longest life expectancy (so you may seriously consider moving there)?
* Which country has the most population (so you know you'll feel lonely in the crowd)?
* How about the least?
* How about in Africa, America, Asia, Europe, or Oceania?
* Which has the largest size, or the smallest?
* How about GDP?
* Or TV, telephone lines?
* Of course, the Internet users, cell phones?
2) All the maps of the 205 countries or territories are offered.
This app also has very easy-to-use navigation and user-friendly zoom in/out in Details mode. Other common features are certainly offered as well, such as:
* browsing each country in each continent (or the whole world);
* learning about its detailed info;
* doing a quick name search.
Our other app, One World, includes the beautiful anthems of ALL the 88 countries or territories where iPhone is officially available as of May 2009. It's for users who can't live without sounds and don't care about the almost 70MB file size download.
