Application Description
The Abandoned Boats app allows users to take a picture of an abandoned boats, capture the GPS coordinates of it, and additionally give it a name. Pressing the "Done" button saves this information in your "List". To retrieve this information, simply select the boat from your list to view its details.
Once you are on the detail page, this app gives you the ability to email or tweet the boat's information and if there is a picture of an abandoned boats, touching the picture will take you to another screen where you can pan and zoom around on it. Double tapping the picture will re-center the picture to the screen.
To remove a boat from the list, tap on the "List" tab bar button, then tap the "Edit" button. Next tap on the small red circle to the left of the boat you wish to remove. After doing this, tap the red delete button. This will remove the abandoned boat from your list.
To view the location of all entries in your "List" plotted on a map, tap the "Map" tab bar button. This will drop a purple pin onto the location of all entries in your "List". The fist boat in your list is used as the starting point for the map. Also the map allows users to zoom in or out on locations. Choose between Standard, Satellite, and Hybrid.
This app also allows users to share abandoned boat information between ios devices that have the Abandoned Boat App installed and bluetooth capabilities. To send information between devices tap on the "Share" tab bar button. This will take you to a screen where you can connect ios devices. Once a connection has been established with another device (or devices) select a boat from the "Share" list. The selected boat will be highlighted in blue. Once selected, the "Send" button will activate. Tap the send button to send the information to all connected ios devices. Once sent, it is removed from the "Share" list only. It has not been permanently removed. To restore the "Share" list tap the "Regen" button. This will regenerate the list based on your boat list. Tapping the "Disconnect" button will disconnect all connected devices.
