The application, developed by Giunti Editore in cooperation with the Soprintendenza Speciale per il Polo Museale Fiorentino, is the official guide to the Galleria dell'Accademia.

It consists of four main sections (Guide, Map, Masterpieces, Info) and offers the basic and in-depth information you need to visit the museum. It’s also a useful educational tool.

The Guide section is divided into six categories:
• Exhibit halls - the works of art in each room.
• Periods - all the artworks grouped by historical period.
• Artists - the complete list of the artists, with a biography of the great masters.
• Masterpieces - the twelve most important works in the Accademia, with a description, a zoomable high resolution image and notes on the most significant details.
• Selected works - images of over sixty among the most outstanding works of art, with thorough descriptions.
• List of exhibits - the complete catalogue of all the works of art on display.

The interactive map permits virtual access to the rooms according to the itinerary each visitor chooses to follow inside the museum.

The Information section tells you everything you need to know about the museum’s opening times, ticket prices, how to get there, notes about the history of the Accademia and a user manual.
