Application Description
AleGrail is an app to record tasting notes for the beers that you try!
The ONLY beer review app with iCloud support!
This is a Universal App for both iPhone and iPad, no need to pay twice!
Main features of AleGrail:
- iCLOUD:
AleGrail now supports the use of iCloud to share your beer reviews across multiple devices!
- RATING METHODS:
AleGrail has been designed to allow you to choose how you want to rate your beers. Use a simple rating system such as an 'overall' rating of 0 to 10 (with or without decimal places).
OR create a much more complicated rating system involving separate scores for Appearance, Aroma, Flavour, and Mouthfeel.
Give these different elements different weights, and assign a Total Overall Score.
Match your rating system to your favourite beer review website or drinking club.
Switch between different rating methods to see how your ratings look with different emphasis on elements of the beer.
- DETAILED NOTES:
Make detailed text notes along side the scores you give your beers. Makes separate notes for Appearance, Aroma, Flavour, Mouthfeel, and Overall aspects of the beer.
- MULTIPLE REVIEWS:
Make multiple reviews for a single beer. Perhaps you want to try a beer you had last year again? Add a second review to that beer to see if you have grown to like it!?
- 'QUICK LISTS':
Save commonly used words to the Quick Lists to allow easy entry of data for future reviews. This prevents having to type in the name of a brewery or pub/bar over and over again.
User-generated Quick Lists can be imported from your computer to prevent you having to enter each and every word.
- SORT / FILTER:
Easily sort and filter your beer reviews using almost all aspects of the data you enter (beer name, brewery, style, location, ABV, appearance, aroma, etc, etc).
- PHOTOS:
Add multiple photos of the beer you are drinking to each review you make. Decide which photo you like best, and use it as the thumbnail in your main beer list.
- BEER COLOUR:
Record the colour of the beer as seen in the glass. Use a slider to judge the colour by eye, or click a photo of the beer to automatically detect the beer colour.
- BACKUP DATA:
Easily back up all your data to zip files. The backup files can be exported to your computer for safekeeping. ALL data that you enter is backed up, including photos!
- USER MANUAL:
A full user manual is included with the app, including a PDF version (accessible via iTunes File Sharing) for printing out.
