Application Description
Alphabet Games is an app that helps children to learn the alphabet through various activities.
The app is designed for children between 3 and 7 years. The activities are designed so that you can play on your own or share the experience with others.
How does it work?
Each hanging sign in the main menu leads to an activity. Swipe left or right with your finger to navigate between the different signs.
When you choose an activity, a figure pops up and explains how it works. This figure can be disabled by tapping the small sign with a face in the main menu, so that it becomes crossed over.
You can disable the background audio by tapping the small sign with a note in the main menu, so that it becomes crossed over.
You can switch between uppercase and lowercase letters by tapping the small sign with an "A" or "a" in the main menu.
You can return to the main menu from an activity at any time, by tapping the small sign with a house.
Understanding the different actitivies:
Tap and listen:
All letters line up on a board. Tap the letters to hear how they sound.
Puzzle:
Drag the colored letters to the correct silhouette. Press the letters and silhouettes for a little additional help.
Book:
Here, you can flip between the different characters. Each frame has a letter and a picture that begins with that letter. Tap the letter to hear how it sounds. Tap the picture to hear what it represents.
Audio game:
Each letter is pronounced one at a time. Tap the correct letter to continue.
Keep your eyes open for updates, as we will be adding more activities regularly.

It is important for us that both parents and children think that this is a great and fun way to learn the alphabet.

We think the app format is a great to build educational experiences for children. However, there are some things we do not like.
- We do not like apps that are translated in the App Store, when the rest of the app is in one language. Therefore, we tailor our apps for each supported language.
- We do not like apps that encourage purchases from within the app, when the child is in the middle of an experience. Therefore, we only charge you once, when you purchase the app.
We do not like pink for girls and blue for boys. Therefore, we make our apps equally colorful for everyone.
