Application Description
BerlinBerlin is based on statistics taken from the recent Berlin Social Structure Report.
The traffic light colors show the "problem" status of a residential area. Green e.g. indicates a low "social structural problem burden".
The size of the circle indicates the crime burden of an area. The bigger the worse.
Tap a circle for more information on an area.
The Status Index is based on unemployment, youth unemployment, longterm unemploy-ment, child poverty, youth with migration background. The Crime Index is based on the number of cases in an area by June 2009, and includes offences against persons, property, or the State, juvenile delinquency, coercion, vandalism, disregard of state authority.
Simple Housing Quality: The percentage of living space of the lowest quality level.
Moving In/Out: Migration in and out of the area in percent of all residents.
