The Burlington Lions Optimist Minor Hockey Association (BLOMHA) was formed in 1951 by members of the Burlington Central Lions Club and the Optimist Club of Burlington, making it one of the oldest, longest serving youth organizations in our city. For several years members of both clubs were actively involved in the operation of the organization. BLOMHA is governed by Hockey Canada, Ontario Hockey Federation and Alliance Hockey.

Our programs are 100% sanctioned by Hockey Canada, the OHF and the Ontario Hockey Alliance

Our program consists of 12 Divisions:
Development Program (4-5 year olds)
Tyke (6 year olds)
Pre-Novice (7 year olds)
Novice (8 year olds)
Minor Atom (9 year olds)
Atom (10 year olds)
Minor PeeWee (11 year olds)
PeeWee (12 year olds)
Minor Bantam (13 year olds)
Bantam (14 year olds)
Minor Midget (15 year olds)
Midget (16, 17, 18 year olds)

All Coaches, Trainers are fully qualified with full accreditation in keeping with governing bodies of Hockey Canada and the Ontario Hockey Federation

All Players, Coaches and Trainers are protected under Hockey Canada's extensive Health and Liability Insurance.
