Application Description
The Books in Homes Program was originally inspired by Maori author Alan Duff who wrote the widely acclaimed book “Once Were Warriors”. It was founded 21 years ago in New Zealand.
The Charitable Foundation for Books in Homes Australia was founded in 2001 and has a similar blueprint to its New Zealand initiator. Books in Homes Australia is endorsed as a deductible gift recipient.
Since 2001, Books in Homes has distributed in excess of 1,200,000 new books to more than 110,000 needy children from 300 schools and communities around Australia.
The application allows all users, followers, and parties to be updated with the charities information, events, pictures and allows donations at any time. Children/Parents as part of the program can also submit there reading progress logs.
