This is a five-chapter interactive course intended to teach the basics of polymers. The use of polymeric coatings is one way to shield and insulate surfaces of structures from their environment in order to mitigate corrosion. The videos, starring LeVar Burton, discuss the history, properties, types and applications of polymers. They also highlight the various roles of polymers in protecting military infrastructure and weapon systems.
