The Community Food Finder is the mobile app version of the popular printed and web-based foodie guide of the same name serving the Chapel Hill-Carrboro (RDU MSA), North Carolina area.
Produced by The Daily Tar Heel newspaper in partnership with the Chapel Hill-Carrboro Chamber of Commerce, the app includes menus, hours, restaurant features, map locations, and a food news blog covering more than 49 dining locations in this popular college community, home to the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. More locations will be added after the initial release.
The organization of the home screen includes featured businesses, in the mood for, hoping to find, and locations.
*In the mood for … Is a search of all restaurants by cuisine type. For example, specify Italian or Mexican or Chinese and get the results returned for the matching dining locations.
* Hoping to find … Is a feature search based on whether the dining business offers breakfast, lunch, dinner, brunch, outdoor seating, pet friendliness, wi-fi, late night and delivery.
A local food news blog along with a gallery of popular local areas are also included in the guide. A Chapel Hill-Carrboro visitor’s dream and a must for locals as well. And it’s free!
