Application Description
Confidence Coach is designed to help you build your confidence and self-esteem. It is based on a psychological approach known as Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy (CBT). It will help you to appreciate your qualities and discover your hidden strengths. Confidence Coach is an intuitive and user-friendly app that guides the user through a range of established strategies to help them systematically build their self-esteem and confidence.

Confidence Coach has been developed by 2 British Clinical Psychologists with over 25 years therapeutic experience. Rather than purely using self-hypnosis or simplistic affirmations, Confidence Coach utilises a range of proven CBT and experiential techniques to help the user to systematically make desired changes.

Audio Guides
As well as comprehensive written information, there are 3 audio recordings which act as a more personal guide through the app. These recordings will direct you on how to get the most from the app, and offer “therapist tips” on how to overcome common obstacles that people often encounter when trying to build their self-esteem.
Guided Relaxation and Imagery Exercises
“Connecting with Confidence” - Comprises two audio tracks designed to help you relax and harness your memories of confidence and self-esteem:
1) Guided Relaxation will help you to achieve a deep state of relaxation
2) Realising Inner Confidence will help you recall of a time when you felt confident or showed your potential in such a way that will help you to a) breathe life into your ever growing list of positive qualities and diary entries; b) enhance positive emotional states; c) develop kinaesthetic, or bodily awareness to ‘anchor’ positive memories and emotions and ensure that these are easier to recall when needed.

This is an important CBT technique powerfully realised through the technology of your iOS device and will enable you to systematically collect positive information about yourself using images (by recording positive experiences with your device’s camera moment-by-moment or selecting photos from your Camera Roll) and words. This has been shown to underpin the development of enhanced confidence and positive self-perceptions over time.
Confidence Commitments
This is essentially a To-Do list for your self-esteem! Based on the concept that what you do is a powerful way of changing how you feel. The app will talk you through setting yourself therapeutic goals, and has a ‘push’ reminder system to help you stick to your plans.
Personal Confidence Profile
Confidence Coach will create a user profile to help you analyse and track your progress in using the app
