Coumadin
Detailed App Info:
Application Description
This simple and easy to use application calculates both the Coumadin Loading and Coumadin Maintenance dose for two different anti-coagulation therapies (INR 2.0-3.0 & INR 2.5-3.5). Originally designed to exclusively help Health Care Professionals, this application has been tailored to allow the general public to take a more proactive role in their Coumadin treatment. An information section included also provides relevant and succinct information for both the patient and physician.
Based on several scientifically developed nomograms, this application should be used in conjunction with a qualified heath care provider and should not override their personal recommendations. Coumadin, also known by its generic name Warfarin, is metabolized differently by different people and is affected by a multitude of factors including diet, alcohol consumption, and other medications. Since Coumadin is metabolized with a high degree of variability this application should only be used as a guide.
