CRPC Nomogram App
Detailed App Info:
Application Description
The CRPC Nomogram mobile application can assist health care professionals in calculating estimated survival rates among men with metastatic castration resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC) who are considering first line or second line chemotherapy based on several baseline clinical variables.
The first line and second line nomograms were each developed based on a multivariate model that identified several new independent prognostic factors in men with mCRPC, including pattern of spread, PSA, PSA kinetics, symptoms, hemoglobin, alkaline phosphatase. For the post-docetaxel nomogram, prior treatment experience with docetaxel and type of progression in included. Each variable is independently associated with mortality.
The nomogram calculators are based on the TAX327 study data comparing docetaxel + prednisone and mitoxantrone + prednisone. The specific references are provided in the app.
It features 3 separate calculators to help derive estimated overall survival rates in men pre and post- chemotherapy.
PSA Doubling Time
Pre-Chemotherapy mCRPC Nomogram
Post-Chemotherapy mCRPC Nomogram
Survival probabilities provided by this nomogram are based on data available at the time of each publication. These survival estimates may underestimate the true predicted survival in current modern medical practice based on newly available treatment options.
Authors of this publication (pre-chemotherapy nomogram): Andrew J.Armstrong MD ScM, Elizabeth S. Garrett-Mayer PhD, Yi-Chun Ou Yang PhD, Ronald de Wit MD, Ian F.Tannock MD,and Mario Eisenberger MD
Authors of this publication (post-chemotherapy nomogram): Andrew J.Armstrong MD ScM, Elizabeth S. Garrett-Mayer PhD, Ronald de Wit MD, Ian F.Tannock MD,and Mario Eisenberger MD
