Don't Be A Bystander
Detailed App Info:
Application Description
difference.
Make the choice to take a walk in someone else’s shoes! Your actions will either help stop the bullying behavior or will encourage the person to continue the bullying behavior. How would you feel if you were the person being bullied? Wouldn’t you want someone to walk in your shoes?
Each adorable shoe has either a good choice like, tell an adult, or a bad choice like cheer on the bully. Drag the shoes with something that a bystander should do onto the dangling feet. These shoes are the kind of shoes you want to take a walk in. The sound of cheering will indicate you made a good choice and are supporting the person who is being bullied. Drag the shoes with something that a bystander should NOT do into the trashcan. These shoes are NOT the kind of shoes you want to take a walk in. The sound of the trashcan shaking will indicate the shoe is a bad choice and will only worsen the bullying situation.
Once the player is equipped with the right kind of shoes, he or she will have the power to help someone who is being bullied. This resource is a great tool to use in the home, in the classroom, in group counseling, or in individual counseling. By empowering bystanders, we can change school
climate and reduce the incidents of bullying.
