Application Description
Eating Safely is one of our cooking related training Apps and is part of our new Everyday Cooking series of step-by-step video instructions for preparing basic meals designed specifically for individuals who can benefit from simple to follow picture and audio instructions designed to facilitate independent living. This App is a life skills App developed through a combination of AbleLink's cognitively accessible self-directed learning technology and proven training content from the Attainment Company. The Everyday Cooking series provides an accessible learning tool that is specifically designed to be used directly by individuals with autism, learning or other developmental disabilities to help prepare their own meals, using the coolest technology platform there is – the iPad!
The Everyday Cooking series also utilizes the AbleLink Instructional Media Standard (AIMS), AbleLink’s award-winning step-by-step multimedia training system which applies universal design principles to provide multimodal instruction using visual and auditory media.
