Application Description
The Official Gallery North App for iPhone and iPad
On the 16th January 2009 Northumbria University opened an exciting new contemporary art space right in the heart of the city of Newcastle Upon Tyne. Gallery North has become an important addition to Newcastle's burgeoning art scene. The Gallery, based within Northumbria University's School of Arts and Social Sciences, has brought international names to the region as well as showcasing emerging, homegrown talent. The success of the Gallery and its Graduate Studio which is housed under the same roof continues to grow each year.
The Gallery North App for iOS hopes to create new bridges of communication with the local art community, and provide current information on exhibitions and events directly to your mobile device.
Features of the app:
• Information on the latest exhibition taking place at the gallery, acting as your own personal tour guide.
• Information on upcoming events, symposia and other key dates, which can be stored direct to your device calendar.
• A map view featuring geo-location and all contact information.
