100 Guitar Heroes features interviews with and profiles of many of the key guitar players from each genre, revealing details about who influenced them, what guitars and amplification they used, how they recorded some of their albums, and why they play the way they play.

The interviews and most of the profiles were originally featured in Guitarist, Total Guitar and Guitar Techniques magazines over the past 20 years. These have been supplemented with brand new profiles that have been exclusively written for this special edition.
