HospitalTree aims to simplify and centralize your in-hospital communication at Stanford Internal Medicine Residency Program Hospitals through a PhoneTree and PageTree (also known as directories).

PhoneTree is a directory of frequently used phone numbers at Stanford, VA, and SCVMC Hospitals. PhoneTree negates the need to carry laminated cards which studies show are twenty-five times easier to lose than update. Additionally, you will save 48 minutes per day by not being repeatedly put on hold by the operator, allowing you to comply with work hour restrictions. If you identify an incorrect number or find a number that you commonly use has not been included, please send an email (link available in "More") so that PhoneTree will stay up to date through crowdsourcing.

PageTree is a directory of frequently used ghost pagers at Stanford Hospital. Guaranteed (not an actual guarantee) to prevent you from getting yelled at by a consulting service for paging too late in the day because you were too afraid to leave rounds early to send the page. PageTree currently sends pages by email and it is recommended that you send them from your @stanford.edu email account for secure messaging. At this time, pages include the email subject, sender's name, and sender's address. To prevent overflow messages, please limit your pages to less than 80 characters.

Thank you to Errol Ozdalga for providing the phone numbers for the Stanford and VA Hospitals on dx.stanford.edu and Lina Miyakawa for providing the phone numbers for SCVMC.
