Tefilat HaDerech is a prayer for a safe journey should be recited when you travel. It can be used for traveling by air, sea, and even long car trips. It is recited at the onset of the journey, and it is preferably done standing, even though this is not necessary. It is often inscribed onto hamsas, keychains, pens or even "car mezuzahs".
