iMultimeter
Detailed App Info:
Application Description
iMultimeter = REAL Power Meter / Volt Meter plus thermometer for ambient temperature measurements
Measurements of REAL electric voltages plus REAL ambient temperature with the iPhone, and iPod touch - how is that possible?
CAUTION! App is only useful with an adapter option from HMB|TEC
Real electrical power measured physically with the iPhone, which is now possible with this app, and a small plug adapter for the headphone jack! The adapter is provided with practical, 60cm long, test leads and probes in red and black. The measurement range is + / -60 volts DC (VDC) and the resolution of 0.1 V (the ADC used in the adapter works internally with a resolution of 16 bits). This allows you to measure the real voltage of your car battery, all batteries and primary cells and re-measuring the output voltages of your power equipment, electrical equipment and circuits for correct values back.
And certainly many electronics hobbyists and electronics professionals waiting for this useful application! Finally you have your instrument always there and can perform any measurements on equipment, components and circuits. Of course, the meter is on for the measurement of sensors that provide at its output a DC voltage. And DC measurements are possible by adding a shunt resistor. The measurement and data recording is updated every 500ms, so it will have the opportunity to watch and the course very slow physical processes.
With this app, the real measured voltage values into analog and digital form or as a graph are presented. The meter is calibrated Kalibierbildschirm and exceeding a set limit value can be signaled visually and audibly. The digital display can take values from minus to plus 100 with a resolution of 0.1 volts. The analog pointer instrument and the voltage curve graph can be manually switched between the 3 measurement ranges from 0 to + /-1V, + /-10V and + /-100V. In a further display of the voltage applied to the measured peak voltage value on an LCD and can be accessed simultaneously by a pointer instrument. The analog instrument switches in 3 ranges automatically (auto ranging). Additionally be issued the minimum and the maximum value of numbers. These values can always be reset by pressing a key. Turning the iPhone is the display of measured values as graph (Y/t chart with actual reading, minimum and maximum values) are switched in landscape mode.
The integrated temperature sensor in the adapter is also read in a dedicated screen analog and digital. The measurement range is -20 ° C to 140 ° C or 0 ° F to 320 ° F. Also for the thermometer can be calibrated at a known temperature, Kalbrierwert is stored in the iPhone and thus remains permanent.
With the help function will take you directly to the website of the App developer. Here you can order it for operation as a real instrument necessary measuring adapters, retrieve useful information and contact with HMB | TEC. You can also find out about special developments in the field of hardware and software.
