About INNOV8 2013
INNOV8 is a project of the Innovation Division of the Greater Lafayette Chamber of Commerce. It is an eight-day festival of creativity and innovation held throughout Lafayette, Louisiana from Friday April 19 to Friday April 26, 2013, which is the week leading up to and overlapping Festival International.
INNOV8 will focus on digital interactive technology... arts and music...and entrepreneurship. It will bring together the best and brightest in a creative setting focused on learning and sharing ideas. It will serve as a conduit for creative thinking and a showcase for talented thinkers that make Lafayette a unique place to live and work.
INNOV8 will focus on our creative economy and explore opportunities for connecting talented innovators with a buyer/seller marketplace. Funding forums, pitch presentations, competitions and networking will showcase talented artists and entrepreneurs and bring them together with representation and start-up capital sourcing.
INNOV8 will be a branded marketing "umbrella" for all the events, conferences, think tanks, workshops, screenings, music and arts venues that will be held during the eight days.
INNOV8 will become an annual event and is a platform for branding Lafayette as an innovative place to live and work. Through PR, social media, online marketing and advertising, we have the opportunity to deliver our message to the world marketplace.
