Detailed App Info:
Application Description
For parents with a child in Prekindergarten, Kindergarten, or even the First Grade, this is the product they could have only wished for up until now to help their children learn basic math on their own. This product, Basic Addition, includes the following features and content:
-Ten independent subjects are presented on a scrolling menu. By default, the ten subjects are presented in progressive order. This app includes a feature in the Configurator that allows the administrator or user to shuffle the subjects.
-Each of the ten subjects is followed by ten questions.
-The first subject is Adding 0 to a Whole Number. It starts with 0 + 0 and progresses to 0 + 9. The next nine subjects progress from Adding 1 to a Whole Number to Adding 9 to a Whole Number.
-The user can select any one of the ten subjects from the scrolling menu.
-Immediately after selecting the desired subject, an on-screen timer begins the countdown. The available time for subject review and testing is user definable in the Configurator.
-Upon selection of the desired subject, an addition table is presented that is relevant to that subject and the subsequent ten questions.
-An audio track plays automatically and explains to the student how to utilize the addition table to correctly answer the subsequent ten questions.
-With a simple finger gesture, the user can move to the test section. The user is presented with ten questions that relate directly to the subject matter. The questions appear progressively but can be shuffled with an option in the Configurator. The answers to the questions are always shuffled so that users cannot memorize answer patterns to use when taking successive tests.
-At any time, users can move freely from the active subject into the testing phase and back again, just as they could if they taking a paper test on subject matter.
-While testing, the user is notified with a warning that only thirty seconds remain.
-Upon submission of responses by user, a warning is issued to the user if there are questions left unanswered.
-When the user is ready or the time runs out, the test is automatically graded and the results posted at the top of the test. The test will show users the question responses they answered correctly and those answered incorrectly. The correct responses are given to questions that have not been answered correctly.
-In addition to the shuffle features stated above, this app also includes important features that parents and students will find quite useful. First, the timer can be set between 60 and 600 seconds.
