iVetSchool is a problem based learning tool for food animal science students training in veterinary medical studies. The goal is to present cases in a modern format to assist in problem based learning and retention of cases student may encounter in future practice.

The app was developed as a collaborative effort from Information Technology Services Mississippi State University Staff and Faculty from Michigan State University, Mississippi State University, and Ohio State University collaborated in the development of the food animal, clinical-based case studies and technical procedures. Veterinary faculty with demonstrated excellence in teaching food animal medicine developed the case studies and Information Technology Services lead the development of the App.

The project was made possible through funding from the United States Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) National Institute for Food and Agriculture (NIFA) Higher Education Challenge Grant Program.
