Our iOS app is the best way to view Khan Academy’s complete library of over 4,200 videos.

We are *so* determined to make the app as stable as, say, your knowledge of foundational geometry! This release addresses one of our biggest remaining crashes (rotating + swiping at x=1024 was bad news for our gesture recognizers), and will help us track down some non-crashing errors as well.

Plus, check out new icons in some of the Art History topics! Gorgeous.

Our learners are the best–they leave so many reviews like, "Hey, Khan Academy! I love you & your app so much BUT..."

and then they tell us gently how sad they are that they ran into a bug.

So this is the first of several updates to try to alleviate suffering, so you can get right back to sharpening your skills in Renaissance art reconnaissance AND multi-variable calculus.

* More careful saving of your progress–if you struggle through a mastery challenge and emerge victorious, we'll not only celebrate with you but also remember that you did it!
* Fewer crashes
* Fewer main-thread locks (which means you spend less time poking at the app and wondering why it all seems frozen)
* More hope

Keep sending us feedback (khanacademy.zendesk.com is a pretty good place to start) and we'll see you back here soon with some more bug fixes & performance improvements <3

Hey guys--we broke something on our servers yesterday, so videos stopped playing :( Luckily, we fixed it pretty fast, but if you notice problems with videos playing, please quit + restart the app (with an internet connection!), wait a bit for new video info to finish downloading, then try again. It'll be better, we promise!

- Download videos to your phone: Now, with a bit of preparation, you can watch a video on "Normal Force in an Elevator" *while in an elevator*. Whoa.

- Download entire categories: Use a not-so-secret "long press" on any topic to download all its videos. What else are you using your 64GB of space for, if not 500+ videos on art history?

Great news, iPhone power users--you can now log in and track your video watching! We also know you love checking out your points, so we added a section with your profile summary & recent activity, right in the app.

Also, some of our categories have kinda long titles. (Have you seen "1500-1600 End of the Renaissance and the Reformation" lately?) We updated our headers so you can read more of the category titles at the top of each page.

Lastly, our app has finally grown up: this release is iOS 6 only. If you can't (or won't) update to a newer iOS, visit http://www.khanacademy.org from your favorite mobile browser.
