Kiddie Calendar
Detailed App Info:
Application Description
Have your kids been asking you when they will be (say) 6 and a half years old just a few weeks ago, then 2 weeks ago, then last week, then today? On a daily basis you say! How about when they will go to 1st Grade, 2nd Grade...? It seems as if time stays still with kids from 5 - 10 years old - in the kids' minds, of course. Fear not, being bothered parents, because here comes Kiddie Calendar, a calendar that answers to questions like these, plus those about, say, when Christmas is coming (ask every other month), when Thanksgiving is coming (also ask every other month). Now, because most kids at this age range don't really have a real firm grasp on time duration, they really can't tell the actual difference between, say, 3 days, 3 weeks and 3 months - to them, those time units all mean "a LONG time" and that's it. Their vocabularies on time are really soon (that's a few minutes), short (time) (that's tomorrow), and long time (that's months, and years), so the responses on the calendar are based on years and months only (and now you see why they keep asking the same questions every few days!). Because of this, do NOT use this calendar for your (adult) daily personal or business use. Kiddie calendar comes in English, Cantonese and Mandarin, with full audio support on the responses and holiday events. ***Note: In order for the calendar to work properly, please make sure that the Region Format is set to US. You can check by going to Settings > International > Region Format > US (select US from the list). Your iOS device can be using Chinese or other languages as default, but the iOS calendar, which relies on the aforementioned Region Format, will actually produce erratic result if the format is set to, say, Taiwan. Kiddie calendar is designed base on using US calendar format.
