We've all been here too many times, and we finally decided to put an end to it. With KRAM, search for the specific class you need help in to browse available tutors ready to meet at that instant, no matter the time.

FAQ

- Are there any subscription fees or other costs for using KRAM?

Nope. Whether you are a student or a tutor, you do not pay a subscription fee for using Kram. Students only pay the tutors at the designated rate for sessions they setup. Payments are billed automatically through the app so you don’t have to worry about carrying cash.

- Why do I need to use my University email address to sign up?

We require students and tutors to use their university email address since it guarantees they attend or work at the University. This provides security, and ensures tutors are knowledgeable on the exact courses specific to their university.

- What is the hourly rate per tutor?

Tutors set their own hourly rates to allow for a fair and competitive marketplace.

- Are the tutors qualified?

All tutors are certified for each course they wish to tutor. Since all tutors are at the same university as the student, tutors are knowledgeable on the exact courses they tutor. Our rating system also ensures that all tutors are constantly reviewed so that only the best and most qualified are on the system.

- If I’m a tutor, how do I set my availability?

Tutors can set their own availability by either entering regular times in a week they are available or by manually toggling their status in the app.

- What devices support KRAM?

Currently, the KRAM application is only supported on iPhones running iOS7. We are working on a future update to support other mobile devices as well as a web-app.

- What universities does KRAM support?

- If I am registered as a tutor, can I still use KRAM as a student?

All registered users on KRAM can search for tutors.

- Why haven’t I had this app forever?

We know, we had the same question.

So, how exactly does this all work?
1. Download the Kram app from the App store
2. Open the Kram app and sign up
3. Search available tutors by course name or code.
4. Request an available tutor from the list
5. If the tutor confirms, both parties will be redirected to in-app chat messaging, where they can discuss a time and place to meet.
6. When the student and tutor meetup, tap ‘start session’ to initiate the session timer (both parties will be asked to confirm session start).
7. When the session is over, tap ‘end session’ and both parties will be redirected to a session receipt with the total time and cost.
8. Students will rate tutors on a five star scale, and either party can report misuse.
9. The student’s credit card will automatically be charged and all earnings transfer directly into the tutor’s account.
