HOW IT WORKS: Touch a Chinese character (the written form of the word) and watch it transform into a picture of what it describes. Children explore and interact freely with 30 different words as well as with Miaomiao and Doudou who demonstrate the meaning of each word in a playful way.
INTRODUCTORY PRICE GETS FREE UPDATE LATER THIS YEAR WHEN NEW 'LEARN TO WRITE' SECTION IS ADDED TO THE GAME.
Great animations and fun interactions with the characters for each word mean that kids enjoy playing the game even if they don't have an initial interest in learning Chinese. By encouraging players to spend extra time on each word and actively engage with the animations associated them, their memory for the word, its meaning, and it's pronunciation in both languages goes up exponentially.
NEW APPROACH TO A TRADITIONAL TEACHING TECHNIQUE
Most people don't know that much of the written Chinese language is based on pictures, and making characters match with their real-world counterparts is an age-old educational tactic. The Miaomiao game builds on this tradition and gives children a rich experience by allowing them to interact with the characters, make visual connections, and enjoy fun animations while they learn the meanings, pronunciation, and written form of Chinese words.
BENEFITS BEYOND LANGUAGE
Learn with Miaomiao: Chinese is an open game that lets children explore and interact freely with the words. Additionally Miaomiao and Doudou demonstrate the meaning of the words when children tap on them. The learning happens naturally through this interaction. Studies have shown that learning Chinese develops unique cognitive skills and enhances musical ability in children because of its tonal sounds, and that language-learning in general can help your child's ability to learn across all subjects. 3-D animations and clean design add to the engagement and learning environment.
TOTALLY BI-LINGUAL AND ENJOYABLE FOR KIDS OF ALL BACKGROUNDS AND INTERESTS
With both English and Chinese versions for instruction, whether your child's primary language is English or Chinese, they can enjoy the game and learn from it equally.
UPDATE COMING SOON that will teach how to write each character with a truly unique game.
