LevelCalc
Detailed App Info:
Application Description
LevelCalc provides the Industrial Instrument Technician with the ability to calculate a level calibration for a differential pressure transmitter by inputting the basic data installation details such as (SG) specific gravity and (X) measurement height. The Technician or Engineer can also use this app to calculate complex level applications that will have (Y) Elevation height, (SG2) Specific gravity of (Y), (Z) Suppression height and (SG3) Specific gravity of (Z). Smart devices make calculating level ranges easier as long as the calculated span is available to you. Sometimes you have to go back to basics. Especially when you have to change a transmitter out that you are not able to communicate with. Imagine this scenario: You are on a call out with no documentation, no Engineering support and the Crude Column is running blind. The level calculator should be used by experienced technicians. This is a tool and like any other tool it should be tested and proven before use. There are many interpretations of Zero elevation and suppression. This application uses the following definitions:
Suppression: The lower range value (4 mA point) is above zero, for instance a range of 20 to 100
Elevation: The lower range value (4 mA point) is below zero, for instance range of -25 to +100, or -100 to 0, or -100 to -20
Suppression: The lower range value (4 mA point) is above zero, for instance a range of 20 to 100
Elevation: The lower range value (4 mA point) is below zero, for instance range of -25 to +100, or -100 to 0, or -100 to -20
