Life For Cells is a strategy game for two players. You can join the side of the good and protect the world of cells, or you can try to bring about its death. The game takes place in the microscopic world of cells interconnected by essential life-giving fibers. Only one living cell capable of saving the others remains alive. The goal of the player "Shorter" is to connect this cell with the dead cell on the other side of the micro world, whereas the player "Cutter" has to stop him by erasing the remaining inactive fibers.
It is a turn-based game with two players – Shorter and Cutter. In their respective turns, Shorter revives one fiber of his choice while Cutter erases any of the inactive ones. To win the game, Shorter must connect the two cells. If Cutter manages to prevent his opponent from doing so, he becomes the winner.
The game can be played against an AI opponent or by two players (either on a shared device or online by means of the Game Center).
The game is based on the graph game "Shannon Switching Game".

Life For Cells je strategická hra pro dva hráče. Můžete se ocitnout na straně dobra a zachránit svět buněk nebo se naopak postarat o jeho zánik. Hra se odehrává v mikroskopickém světě buněk propojených životadárnými vlákny. Mezi buňkami je již poslední živá buňka, která může zachránit ostatní. Cílem hráče Shorter je propojit tuto živou buňku pomocí oživování vláken s neživou buňkou na opačném konci mikrosvěta, naopak hráč Cutter se mu snaží v tomto počínání zabránit odstraňováním doposud neobnovených spojení.
Jedná se o tahovou hru, ve které se střídají dva hráči - Shorter a Cutter. Hráč Shorter může ve svém tahu oživit jednu jím zvolenou hranu. V následujícím tahu hráč Cutter může některou neobnovenou hranu smazat. Aby Shorter zvítězil, musí spojit dvě vyznačené buňky, pokud tomu Cutter zamezí, stává se vítězem on.
Hru může hrát jeden hráč proti virtuálnímu soupeři, případně dva hráči na jednom zařízení či na dvou zařízeních pomocí Game Center.
