For students of algebra, this app contains shows how to solve seven different types of problems involving points and straight lines. Enter any numbers that you want to, and the app will not only solve the problem but explain exactly how to get there and display the solution in graphical form too!

Specifically, the app solves these problems:
- Find the distance between two points
- Given two points, find the slope of a line connecting them
- Given a point and a slope, find the equation for the line (in standard form and slope-intercept form)
- Find the slope of a line from the line's standard equation
- Find the equation of a line that's parallel to a given line and passes through a given point
- Find the equation of a line that's perpendicular to a given line and passes through a given point

If there are fractions in the problem, the app will not only maintain the exact form of the solution (without converting to decimal numbers) but will also properly simplify the fractions.

No internet connection needed -- all the work is done directly on your iPad/iPhone/iPod.

Great for students and others who need to solve algebra problems or check homework answers.
