Maze Line (free)
Detailed App Info:
Application Description
This is a one dimensional maze. It is not meant to be an actual maze game - just a trivial demonstration of what happens when you restrict a maze to 1-dimension. Through its triviality it demonstrates the complexity that additional dimensions bring to a maze as in Maze Square or Maze Cube or Maze Tesseract or Maze HyperCube.

The two dimensional Maze Square (available from the App Store, Kramer&Kramer Software) is more complex than this trivial one dimensional Maze Line because it has one more dimension than the one dimensional path from beginning to end. Similarly, the three dimensional Maze Cube (available from the App Store, Kramer&Kramer Software) is more complex than the two dimensional Maze Square because it has two more dimensions than the one dimensional path from beginning to end. And the four dimensional Maze Tesseract (available from the App Store, Kramer&Kramer Software) is more complex than the three dimensional Maze Cube. Finally, all of these added complexities are displayed in Maze HyperCube (available from the App Store, Kramer&Kramer Software).
* 8 mazes- all trivial one dimensional lines
* 8 colors, sound on moving
* demonstrates the simplicity of one dimensional mazes
* anticipates added complexity of 2 and 3 dimensional mazes
* illustrates the fundamental mathematical concept of dimensions
