Application Description
MDT Mobile is an official app of the Montana Department of Transportation.
MDT Mobile provides traveler information focused on the State of Montana, including road conditions, construction projects, road incidents, still camera images, and atmospheric information. The app allows a user to find their current location and map routes based on address or city names.
The winter road reporting season runs from November through April. During this time, road conditions are updated twice a day or as major changes occur.
Road reports are based on the last reported condition, the information is not real time. Please be aware that conditions can change rapidly so plan for winter conditions.
Camera and RWIS information is the last reported from our remote sites. Site update times vary so please note the data time and know that weather in Montana can change rapidly. Some of the cameras are from other DOT agencies in neighboring states and provinces.
MDT's mission is to serve the public by providing a transportation system and services that emphasize quality, safety, cost effectiveness, economic vitality and sensitivity to the environment.
