A new church plant in Indianapolis:
The idea for Mercy Road began in February of 2010. Pastor Josh and his family had been living in southern California, where Josh had been working at Pomona First Baptist for the past 7 years. The church had sent him to a conference in Cumming, Georgia. After the first day of the conference, Josh was praying in a hotel room about what he had experienced that day and God clearly and passionately called Josh to start a church in Indiana.

After several confirmations, the Husmann’s obediently moved to the north Indianapolis area in August of 2010. 10 others joined the initial launch team that August and began planting the church. Four strategic partnerships had formed with two large churches and two church planting networks.

One September 25, 2011 Mercy Road church was officially launched! 220 people came to the Grand Opening worship service. We also have seen the expansion of our outposts throughout the region. We’re so thankful for where God has brought us and where He’s taking this young, but vibrant church!
