Application Description
Using an iPhone or iPod touch you can make a virtual journey through the masterpieces of Michelangelo in Florence, cradle of the Renaissance.
Most of the works of Michelangelo Buonarroti are conserved in Florence; in the city you can admire the David, the Prisoners, the Doni Tondo, the New Sacristy and the Biblioteca Laurenziana.
The application enables different types of “visit”; the information is presented in way that is immediate and easy to understand:
- MAP indicates the Michelangelo sites and suggests itineraries for reaching them.
- PLACES indicates the museums, churches and piazzas where Michelangelo’s masterpieces are conserved. For each place there is a linked factsheet providing all the information: photographs, opening hours, ticket prices, telephone numbers and list of the works
- WORKS OF ART describes each of the works: a brief factsheet complete with image offers precise historic information.
