mLab is a mobile client used for connecting users to online survey sites. Users who sign up for the mLab panel and install the mLab app receive participation alerts when their participation is requested. Selecting a notification will open the app which includes an embedded browser. The browser then redirects to a third-party website hosting the online survey (e.g., Qualtrics). Once the participant has completed the survey, it will redirect back to the app, which will list other available surveys. The app will play a custom sound on notification so that users’ can easily distinguish our notifications from those of other apps and choose to participate or not based on their immediate circumstances.
